Luxury ECO cabins
On the estate, we offer the Mlinar apartment and three wooden mini-cabins: Ana, Jure, and Mare. Each cottage, measuring approximately 20 m², features a sleeping area, a fully equipped kitchen, a private bathroom, and a terrace with patio furniture. The interior is minimalist and cozy; the focus is on comfort, functionality, and a peaceful atmosphere where you can completely unwind.
The Kolpa River
The Kolpa is just a few steps away—calm, clean, and pleasantly warm in the summer. It’s ideal for swimming, wading, and lazing around on the riverbank; the water often reaches pleasant temperatures, perfect for long summer days. Along the river, you’ll find spots for privacy, spots for socializing, and places where you can listen to the murmur of the water.
Outdoor Activities
Hiking, biking, stand-up paddleboarding, boating, and fishing. We recommend a morning walk along the river, an afternoon stand-up paddleboarding trip, and bike rides along the trails of Bela Krajina. Every season has its own charm—water activities on the Kolpa River in the summer, biking and hiking in the spring and fall, and a visit to the ski resort or nearby thermal spas in the winter.

Immersed in nature
In the morning, you’re awakened by birdsong; during the day, the murmur of the river accompanies you; and in the evening, a vast sky full of stars. The estate is steeped in the history of milling, which gives the place a special atmosphere.

Your four-legged friends are welcome here. There are safe outdoor areas, nearby forest trails, and riverbanks where they can explore and relax.
A PLACE WITH A STORY

Fortun Estate is a family-run farmstead on the Kolpa River. The estate bears the mark of a family history of millers and carpenters; it is also home to a mill that is approximately 300 years old.
There is one “Mlinar” apartment and three “Ana” mini-cottages, Jure, and Mare—each unit is designed for two people (approximately 20 m²) and includes a sleeping area, a fully equipped kitchen, a private bathroom, and a terrace with patio furniture. All units are air-conditioned; towels and linens are provided; we offer guests free Wi-Fi and parking. Pets are welcome for an additional fee.
The Kolpa River is just a few steps away and is the estate’s main natural attraction—perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, and boating. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking, biking, and fishing. Fortun Estate is a small, intimate space where the emphasis is on privacy and tranquility; the number of units is limited to ensure guests’ privacy.
The location serves as a convenient starting point for exploring the Bela Krajina and Dolenjska regions; Ljubljana, Zagreb, and Rijeka are about an hour’s drive away.
